No, 100% remote purchases are possible. Our team handles all site visits, inspections, and paperwork on your behalf. We provide detailed video tours, photo reports, and can even arrange virtual walkthroughs. Many of our clients purchase properties without ever visiting Japan.
On average, 60 days from accepted offer to receiving keys. This includes due diligence, contract preparation, legal review, and closing. The timeline can vary depending on property type and seller circumstances.
Beyond the purchase price, budget for: acquisition tax (~3-4%), registration fees (~0.4%), stamp duty, and agent fees (~3% + tax). Our service fee is separate and covers all coordination, translation, and support throughout the process.
Mortgages for non-residents are limited in Japan. Most foreign buyers purchase in cash or arrange financing in their home country. We can discuss options during our consultation call.
